Welcome to Te Rauā
Our innovative housing development is located at 45 Kitchener Street, Wairoa. This project is a testament to our commitment to providing affordable, quality housing for our community. Te Rauā features 43 homes, including 30 larger whānau homes and 13 transportable kaumātua-sized homes. The final stage of the development will introduce a 13-room supported living complex, Tokotoko o te Rangi, designed to offer essential support and accommodation for our kaumātua.
Te Rauā embodies our values of Whanaungatanga and Manaakitanga, fostering intergenerational living and ensuring our kaumātua remain at the heart of their community. This development aims to alleviate the housing shortage in Wairoa, particularly following the impacts of Cyclone Gabrielle and subsequent floods. We are proud to provide a safe, supportive environment where whānau can thrive and stay connected to their whenua.
